Orange Young Woman Competition

The Young Woman Competition (formerly known as The Showgirl Competition) aims to find a young female Ambassador for the Orange Show and the Agricultural Show movement.

The winning Young Woman for the Orange Show is selected by a panel of judges and remains 'Orange Young Woman' until the next year’s Show.  She will go onto compete in the Zone 6 Finals held in Orange on the 4th February 2023, and if successful will go onto the Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman Competition.

Entrants must have a genuine interest in and knowledge of rural NSW.

The Competition encourages the participation and awareness of issues faced by women in rural NSW.
Contestants are judged on rural knowledge, general knowledge, community passion and involvement and potential ambassadorial qualities including presentation skills, communication skills, personality, confidence, ambition and life goals.

Today, contestants continue to be young rural women with purpose and ambition and the Competition plays a significant role in the overall development of rural youth, attracting strong support from entrants and the community.

Winner of the Orange Show Young Woman Competition will be announced at the official opening of the show.
